Taking
the Metro or Public Transportation?
There are two Metro stations that are near the Georgetown area (the Foggy Bottom and Rosslyn stations on the Orange and Blue lines).
However, both stations are a bit of a hike (we're talking 6 to 8 blocks) to get to any destination in the Georgetown neighborhood.
Fortunately, along with the normal WMATA bus service,
you have the option of two other bus lines.
First is the Georgetown Metro Connection Shuttle Service.
Route 2, which
travels between the Rosslyn and the Dupont Metro Stations, passes right
by and stops right in front of Garrett's.
Second is the DC Circulator bus, which also has stops right in front of Garrett's.
Driving?
There are several parking options. You can find parking in the various commercial
parking lots and garages scattered throughout the Georgetown area. Limited street parking
exists in the neighborhood surrounding Garrett's, but there are various time and residential restrictions.
Please pay close attention to the parking signs and please be respectful
of our neighbors. Of course, if you plan on consuming any
alcohol, please be responsible and have a designated driver or plan on
using public transportation or a taxi cab.
Taking a Cab?
Any DC area cab driver will be able to find "30th and M Streets in
Georgetown." As for getting a cab home, cabs are a constant fixture
on M Street while we are open. It is really quick and easy to hail a
cab and safely be on your merry way.
